Privacy Policy — Opus Album (opusalbum.com)
Last updated: 26 July 2026
This is the plain-English privacy policy for Opus Album, a browser-based wedding album designer for photo studios. We have written it the way we would explain it to you on the phone.
The most important thing comes first, because it is unusual: your wedding photographs do not come to us. Read the next block before anything else.
Your Wedding Photographs Never Reach Our Servers
Opus Album runs entirely inside your own web browser, on your own computer.
When you drop a shoot into Opus Album, those image files are opened by your browser and stay on your machine. Laying out the spreads, dragging and zooming a photo, applying a look, adding the couple's names, and exporting the final 36x12 inch 300 DPI print-ready spreads — all of that work is done by your own computer.
Nothing uploads. There is no "processing on our server" step. We do not receive, store, view, copy, back up, or train anything on your clients' photographs, because they never arrive with us in the first place.
Two honest consequences of this design:
- We cannot look at your album for you. If you call support, we can talk you through the app, but we genuinely cannot open your file or see your photos.
- We cannot recover a lost album. There is no copy on our side to restore from. Please keep your own backup of the original shoot, exactly as you would with any other software.
Where Your Album Work Is Saved
Your work autosaves so that it survives closing the tab or restarting the computer. That save lives in your browser's own local storage on your machine — not on our servers.
Things that will make that saved work disappear, and which are outside our control:
- Clearing your browsing data, cache, or "site data" for opusalbum.com
- Working in a private / incognito window
- Switching to a different browser, a different Windows user, or a different computer
- Your browser freeing up space on its own when the disk is very full
Exported spreads and the album ZIP are saved by your browser to your own Downloads folder. That file is yours; we never get a copy of it.
Because this storage is on your machine, we cannot delete it for you either. If you want it gone, clear the site data in your browser.
What We Actually Collect
Very little, and none of it is your photographs.
- Account email address. Needed so you can sign in, so your page credits stay attached to you, and so we can contact you about your account. Your password is kept in scrambled (hashed) form, never in readable text.
- Your page credit balance and a count of pages exported. A number only — never the layout, the photos, the couple's names, or any album content.
- Payment records. Date, amount, whether it succeeded or failed, and the payment reference from Cashfree. Plus your phone number, if you give it to us for support or a refund.
- Basic technical logs when the site loads — browser and device type, approximate region, and error messages — so we can tell when something is broken.
We do not collect: photographs, faces, the couple's names or wedding date you type onto a page, your layouts, your exported files, or your folder names.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not run ads and we do not share your data with data brokers or advertisers.
Payments — We Never See Your Card Number
Payments run through Cashfree, an Indian payment gateway.
When you pay, your card number, CVV, expiry, UPI PIN, or net-banking password are entered on Cashfree's or your bank's own secure page. Those details do not pass through opusalbum.com and we never store them. We could not show you your own card number even if you asked.
What comes back to us from Cashfree is only what we need to give you your credits and to sort out problems later: success or failure, the amount, the date and time, a payment or order reference, and the payment method type (for example UPI or card).
For that payment step, Cashfree's own privacy policy and terms also apply, since they are the ones handling the money.
How Long We Keep Things
- Account email and login details: for as long as your account is open. Deleted when you ask us to close the account.
- Payment records: kept for as long as tax, accounting and dispute-handling rules require. These we cannot delete on request, because they are financial records.
- Technical logs: kept for a short period only, typically a few months, then dropped.
- Album credit balance: as long as the account exists.
- Your actual album work: in your browser, on your machine, until you clear it. We hold nothing and therefore keep nothing.
Who Else Touches Your Information
Only the service providers we need to run the product:
- Cashfree — to take payments and process refunds.
- Our website hosting provider — to serve the site to your browser.
- An email provider — for account and payment emails.
- An analytics tool — for the basic visit counts described above.
We will also disclose information if we are legally required to by a valid legal or regulatory demand.
That is the full list. No marketing partners, no resellers, no "affiliates".
Your Rights Over Your Data
The studio's data belongs to the studio. You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you
- Correct a wrong email address or detail
- Send you a copy of your account information
- Close your account and delete your email address and login details
- Stop sending you non-essential emails
Just call or message us on +91 7419117311 with the email address on the account, and we will confirm and act on it. We aim to respond within a few working days.
Two honest notes:
- Closing your account does not remove album work saved in your browser. That is on your machine and only you can clear it.
- We may have to keep the minimum payment records required by law even after the account is closed.
Children
Opus Album is a professional tool for photo studios. It is not intended for children, and accounts should be opened only by adults (18 or over) running or working for a studio.
We do not knowingly collect information from children. If a child has somehow created an account, tell us on +91 7419117311 and we will delete it.
Wedding albums naturally contain photographs of children in the family. Those photographs stay on the studio's own computer and never reach us, so there is nothing about those children in our systems.
Changes To This Policy
Opus Album is brand new and the product will keep changing, so this policy will be updated from time to time. When we change it, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top.
If a change is significant, we will say so on the website or email account holders rather than quietly editing the page.
One commitment we want in writing: today nothing about your photographs is uploaded. If we ever build a feature that sends any image or album data off your computer, we will announce it clearly before it goes live, and it will be something you choose to switch on — never a silent change.
