Terms of Service

01About these terms

These are the terms for using Opus Album at opusalbum.com. Please read them once — they are written in plain English on purpose, because we would rather you actually understand them than be impressed by legal language.

By creating an account or designing an album on Opus Album, you agree to these terms. In these terms, "you" means the studio, photographer or person using the service, and "we" / "us" / "Opus Album" means the service itself and the people who run it.

02What Opus Album is

Opus Album is a browser-based tool for designing wedding albums. You add the photos from a shoot, pick from our library of dense "Karizma"-style templates (554 templates, 3,491 photo openings today), and the tool places your photos across multiple spreads in one click, keeping them in the order you added them so the wedding still reads chronologically. Placement is orientation-aware, so portrait photos are not forced into wide openings.

After that you adjust by hand: drag to reframe, zoom, swap, rotate, mirror. You can apply photo looks (Bright, Warm, Cool, Vivid, Soft, B&W) plus brightness, contrast, colour, warmth and soften sliders — to one photo or to the whole album at once. You can add couple names, the wedding date and a custom line of text. When you are happy, you export print-ready 36x12 inch spreads at 300 DPI, with the resolution written into the file so your lab reads the correct physical size, and the whole album downloads as one ZIP.

Just as important is what Opus Album is not. It does not use AI to design your album — layout is template-based, not generated. There is no background removal, no face detection, no retouching, and no client proofing. There is no mobile app, no offline desktop version and no cloud sync. A one-time desktop version is planned but does not exist yet, so please do not buy on the expectation of it.

We also do not print. You export the spreads and take them to your own local lab, which is the point — you keep your printing relationship and your printing margin.

03Eligibility and your account

You need to be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to use Opus Album. If you are using it for a studio or company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.

Keep your account details accurate, and keep your login to yourself. One account is meant for one studio. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you, so if you think someone else has got into it, call us on +91 7419117311 and we will help sort it out.

We are a brand-new product. We have no customers to boast about, no awards and no years in business. Features will keep changing, and occasionally something will break. If that is not acceptable for a job you are on deadline for, keep your existing workflow as a backup for now.

04Free pages and the per-page charge

Your first 2 pages are completely free. No card, no payment details, nothing to cancel. This exists so you can try the whole thing — real templates, real photos, real exported spreads — before you spend a rupee.

After that you pay by the page. One page is one credit, and a credit is taken only when a print-ready file for that page is produced — never for the watermarked proof you send the couple.

Each page is paid for once. Growing a 20-page album to 25 costs 5 pages, never the first 20 again, and once an album's pages are paid for you can re-export it as often as you like at no further charge. There is no subscription and no monthly fee.

Page credits you have paid for stay on your account for you to use. If we ever need to change how credits work, we will tell you before it affects credits you already hold.

05There is no subscription

Opus Album has no monthly plan, no renewing charge and no licence fee. You buy page credits when you want them and use them when you want to; nothing bills you automatically and there is nothing to cancel.

If we ever introduce a recurring plan it will be optional, it will be described here first, and it will never be applied to an existing account without you choosing it.

06Payment, and why we never see your card

Payments are processed by Cashfree, an Indian payment gateway. You enter your card, UPI or netbanking details on Cashfree's side, not ours. We never see, handle or store your card number, CVV or UPI PIN — all we receive back is a confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, and a reference for our records.

That also means payment problems sometimes have two possible causes. If money has left your account but your credit has not appeared, call +91 7419117311 with the date and amount and we will trace it and fix it.

Prices are in Indian rupees. If any tax becomes payable on these charges, that will be shown at the time of payment.

07You are only charged for an album that actually exports

This is the rule we care most about: a charge only applies on a successful export.

Designing, re-laying out, re-cropping, changing looks, adding text, previewing, closing the tab and coming back tomorrow — all free, as many times as you like. A page's credit applies when that page successfully exports as a print-ready spread.

If an export fails, crashes, produces broken or empty files, or never finishes, you should not be charged. If you have been, we will refund it or restore the credit. Call us on +91 7419117311.

Beyond that, exports are a digital product delivered instantly, so once an album has exported successfully we generally cannot refund it. If you genuinely believe you have been charged wrongly, talk to us — we would rather sort out one honest case than argue over a few pages.

08Acceptable use

Use Opus Album for designing albums. Please do not:

  • Use it for photographs you do not have the right to use, or for anything illegal, obscene, or involving minors in a sexual way.
  • Upload material that infringes someone else's copyright or a person's privacy.
  • Try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or work around the app's limits, credit system or payment flow, or use it through automated scripts.
  • Extract, copy, redistribute or resell our template library, in whole or in part, as templates.
  • Share, rent or resell your account access so that multiple studios use one paid account.

You can absolutely sell the albums you design to your clients — that is the entire purpose. What you cannot do is repackage Opus Album itself, or its template library, as a product of your own.

09Your photographs stay yours

You own the photographs you bring into Opus Album, and the albums you design with them. We claim no ownership, no licence and no rights over your clients' images. We will not use their faces, their wedding or your work in any promotion, sample album, demo or marketing — not now, not later.

You are responsible for having the right to use the photos you work on, including any permission from the couple or subjects that your own contract with them requires.

If we ever want to feature one of your designs, we will ask you first and you are free to say no.

10Everything happens in your browser

Opus Album runs entirely inside your browser. Your photographs are not uploaded to our servers. They are read from your own computer, laid out on your machine, and the exported spreads are saved straight to your computer. Nothing about the shoot travels to us. This is a technical fact about how the tool is built, not just a promise — there is no photo storage on our side to leak.

Two consequences you should know about:

First, your work autosaves and survives closing the tab, but that save lives in your own browser on that one computer. Clearing your browser data, using private/incognito mode, switching to another machine or another browser, or letting the browser evict its storage will lose the in-progress album. Keep your original photo files, and export when you are happy.

Second, because we never hold your photos, we cannot recover a lost album for you. We simply do not have it.

The only things we do keep are the minimum needed to run accounts and billing — your sign-in details, contact number, and a record of page credits and payments.

11Templates and template licensing

The templates we provide in the library are licensed to you for designing albums for your own clients while your account is in good standing. You may use them in albums you sell. You may not repackage, resell, redistribute or share the template files themselves. We may add, change or retire templates over time.

If the tool lets you bring in your own templates or layout files, you are responsible for having the right to use them. Karizma-style template packs circulate widely in the market, often without clear licensing, and importing something does not make it licensed. Anything you import is on you, and we cannot check it for you. Please do not import templates you are not allowed to use commercially.

12No warranty — the honest version

We provide Opus Album as it is, without any warranty. We are not promising it will be free of bugs, available at all times, compatible with every browser or machine, or perfect for every job.

More usefully: before you send anything to print, open the exported spreads and check them. Check the crops, the text spelling, the names, the date, the page order and the resolution. Printing costs real money and a lab will print exactly what you give it. Please treat every export as a proof to be checked, not as a guaranteed final file. We cannot take responsibility for printing costs, reprints, a delayed delivery to a client, or a client's reaction to an album.

13Limit of what we owe you

If something goes wrong and we are held responsible, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have actually paid us in the 3 months before the claim. For most studios that is a few hundred rupees, and we are being upfront that this is the limit rather than hiding it.

We are not liable for indirect losses — lost profit, lost clients, reputational harm, reprinting charges, wasted lab costs, or lost time — even if we were told they might happen.

Nothing here tries to limit liability that Indian law does not allow us to limit.

14Suspension and termination

You can stop using Opus Album whenever you like. If you want your account closed, call +91 7419117311 and ask.

We may suspend or close an account if it is being used to break these terms — illegal content, extracting or reselling templates, abusing the free pages or credit system, attacking the service, or chargeback fraud. Where it is sensible, we will warn you and give you a chance to explain first. Where the misuse is serious, we may act immediately.

If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund unused page credits. If we close it because of clear misuse, we may not.

Albums you have already exported remain yours to use and sell, whatever happens to your account. Since the files are already on your computer, closing an account does not take them away.

We may also discontinue the service entirely. If that ever happens we will give notice and refund unused credits.

15Changes to these terms and to pricing

We will update these terms sometimes — as the product grows, as features arrive, as Cashfree or the law requires. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app or by message.

If we change pricing, the new price applies to purchases you make after the change. It does not retroactively re-price page credits you have already bought.

If you keep using Opus Album after a change, that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service and ask us to close your account.

16Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising out of them will be dealt with by the courts of India. The specific court location will be the place of our registered business address, which we will publish on the site once it is formally registered — we are not going to invent one here.

Before anyone goes near a court, please just call us. Nearly everything about a product this size can be sorted out in one phone call.
